Find optimal planter setting and corn planting rates with the Brevant™ seeds App. Designed for corn farmers and ag retailers, the app contains two easy to use tools. The Plantability Tool allows farmers to achieve maximum planter performance and planting accuracy with information scanned or entered from the Brevant seed tag. Generate optimum seeding rates by selecting variables such as commodity price, yield goal and seed cost with the Planting Rate Tool.

The Brevant seeds App combines agronomy research and economics to provide you with product specific recommendations tailored to your operation.

The app enables you to gather planter settings by batch and determine optimal planting rates by corn hybrid to maximize yield potential. The app provides a streamlined digital experience by providing two essential tools helping to create a more successful planting season.

The Plantability Tool allows users to access batch-specific planter recommendations to help achieve maximum planter performance and more precise planting accuracy. Once the Brevant seeds app is downloaded, users are prompted to select their planter type and then scan the barcode from the seed bag or box. They can also type in the batch number for results. The app returns suggested pressure or vacuum settings, singulator setting, along with the predicted seed drop for each available planter and plate combination. Planter brands and types included in the testing are: Kinze® and John Deere® finger-type planters, John Deere vacuum-type planters, Precision Planting e-Set® disk, Kinze vacuum planters, White®, and Case IH® vacuum planters.

The Planting Rate Tool generates estimated optimum seeding rates for Brevant™ brand corn hybrids based on research from Corteva Agronomy Sciences. Corteva tests corn hybrid response to plant population at locations across the United States each year. Extensive testing allows for sampling of a wide array of environments at many yield levels to help you find the best planting rate, by product. By selecting a product name, seed cost per unit, grain price, and yield goal users can select an optimal planting rate specific to their situation. Users are also able to select multiple products and input unique scenarios that will be displayed in both graph and text formats. The planting rate tool can be used as a guide and allows Brevant seeds customers to collaborate with their local seller or agronomist for refinements based on local observations and results of on-farm trials.
